This site (girdharakbari.com) is the personal site of Girdhar Akbari, an entrepreneur in the brass and architectural hardware trade of Jamnagar, Gujarat, India.

2. What this site collects

The contact form on this site collects the details you choose to enter so that your message can be answered. The form is delivered through a third-party form service, which processes the submission on our behalf and forwards it to a controlled inbox.

• Contact form: the name, email address, phone number (optional), company (optional) and message you choose to submit.
• Server logs (standard web hosting): IP address, browser type, pages visited and timestamps - collected automatically by the hosting provider for security and operational purposes.
• No tracking cookies: this site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

3. Why we process it

Personal data sent through the contact form is used solely to respond to your enquiry and, where you have asked us to, to follow up on a business, hardware-trade, mentorship or media conversation. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except the form-delivery provider that carries your message, or where required by law. You provide your details, and tick the consent box, of your own choice.

4. How long we keep it

Enquiries are retained for the duration of the active conversation and for a reasonable archival period thereafter, consistent with business correspondence norms. Server logs are kept by the hosting provider per its standard retention policy.

5. Your rights (DPDP Act, 2023)

You have the right to (a) confirm whether we hold personal data about you, (b) receive a summary of the personal data and the processing activities, (c) request correction, completion or updating of inaccurate personal data, (d) request erasure of personal data that is no longer necessary, and (e) nominate another individual to exercise these rights in the event of incapacity or death.
